Uganda has approved a 100 MW solar project with 250 MWh of battery storage in the Nwoya and Gulu districts. The project, developed by Nairobi-based Renewvia Energy, is scheduled for completion in 12 to 18 months and represents a significant step forward for Uganda’s renewable energy sector.
[pdf] The project represents Phase I of Uganda’s ambitious plan to deploy over 1 GW of solar and storage capacity nationwide. EA Astrovolt will manage all aspects including project development, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and long-term system performance monitoring.
