Developed by Scatec, a renowned Norwegian renewable energy company, this solar power station represents the nation’s largest renewable energy initiative and is poised to substantially enhance Lesotho’s energy production capacity.
[pdf] With a production capacity of 800 megawatts across 10sq km and equipped with more than 1.8mn solar panels, the plant supplies electricity to roughly 60,000 homes. It literally covers up to 10% of the nation's electricity needs at peak times and delivers power at a highly competitive rate.
