The project, owned and operated by AES Distributed Energy, consists of a 28 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) and a 100 MWh five-hour duration energy storage system. AES designed the unique DC-coupled solution, dubbed “the PV Peaker Plant,” to fully integrate PV and storage as a power plant.
[pdf] At its core, a solar power container is a mobile solar power station engineered inside a standard ISO shipping container. The structure is rugged, transportable, and weather-resistant, making it suitable for deployment in harsh conditions.
[pdf] Solarfold allows you to generate electricity where it’s needed, and where it pays to do so. The innovative and mobile solar container contains 196 PV modules with a maximum nominal power rating of 130kWp, and can be extended with suitable energy storage systems.
