[pdf] The utility is procuring two grid-scale battery storage systems to the tune of EUR 48 million ($55.9 million). EPCG, Montenegro’s largest electricity provider, is investing in two four-hour battery energy storage systems (BESS) to strengthen grid resilience and balance supply and demand.
[pdf] The subsidy can cover up to 45% of eligible investment costs, or a maximum of EUR 225 per kWh of battery storage capacity. Eligible applicants are companies, sole proprietors, and cooperatives. Grants can be combined with a solar power plant or existing storage units without restrictions.
