A major breakthrough in Ghana’s fight against persistent power outages, commonly referred to as “dumsor,” is on the horizon as US-based engineers from Pileus Ghana Investment (PGI) unveil plans for a 500-megawatt solar energy and storage project.
[pdf] The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis notified the public of a new agreement with the Republic of China (Taiwan) to develop a 50-megawatt land-based Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Plant that will foster industrial growth and enhance energy resilience on the island.
[pdf] The government aims to add 1,500 MW of new capacity from solar and wind energy, with an estimated construction cost of around $1.2 billion. This initiative is part of Armenia’s broader efforts to enhance its energy independence and reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels.
