Highview Power is creating the largest energy storage facility of its kind, which will store surplus electricity from wind and solar farms. The two-stage Hunterston project is supporting 1,000 jobs on site during construction and 650 jobs in the supply chain.
[pdf] Owned and led by global renewable energy company, Low Carbon, it is Trinasolar’s first project to combine the company’s modules, mounting structures and energy storage systems at the same site, with all solutions coming from Trinasolar.
[pdf] The project represents Phase I of Uganda’s ambitious plan to deploy over 1 GW of solar and storage capacity nationwide. EA Astrovolt will manage all aspects including project development, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and long-term system performance monitoring.
